It’s the most wonderful time of the year. (No really)

Fall.  It’s the best time of year.  With so much to see and do; there simply is not enough time to fit everything in.  Every year I try to cram as much “fall” in as possible and it never seems to be enough.  This year I took two weeks off work to enjoy this wonderful season; the truth is I wish I took two more.  Autumn for me starts on September 1st with a trip to Lyman Orchards for a wonderful Crispin sandwich. That is my kick-off to the most fantastic season in New England.  It is now a month and a half into the season and I feel like the time is flying by. Before you know it, we’ll be drinking hot chocolate and decorating the Christmas tree.

I want this blog to be a place where I can highlight some amazing local places that people tend to overlook.  You don’t have to travel far to have a good time; it may just be around the corner.  Now go out and have some fun!

I have always loved to travel. Too often that would mean I would book a flight and travel somewhere far away; but lately, I have come to realize that it doesn't have to be that way. I have overlooked so many great places close to home that I have become a "local tourist" and want to share my travels and all things New England and Southern with you.
